As the last firework faded into the night sky and families made their way home, one thing became abundantly clear: Jones is blessed with a community that shows up for one another.
The Town of Jones would like to extend our deepest gratitude to the Warner family for yet another incredible Independence Day celebration. For years, they have dedicated countless hours, resources, and effort to creating moments of wonder for our community. Generations of Jones children have sat on blankets, perched on tailgates, and looked skyward in amazement because of their commitment to this tradition.
This year, we began discussing what it might look like to make the show even bigger and better. We had high expectations—but Matt Warner exceeded every one of them. What unfolded over Jones was more than a fireworks display; it was a celebration of community, patriotism, and the small-town spirit that makes Jones such a special place to call home.
We would also like to thank the Jones Kiwanis Club for facilitating another outstanding Freedom Fest. When weather concerns threatened the event, they moved quickly, thoughtfully, and with public safety as their highest priority. Rescheduling is never easy, but their flexibility and dedication resulted in one of the most beautiful evenings we’ve enjoyed in quite some time. The event was a tremendous success because of their hard work and commitment to our community.
And finally, a special thank you to Lieutenant Mike Weiss of the Jones Police Department. As a gift to our residents, Mike captured stunning drone footage of the evening’s festivities, allowing all of us to relive the magic from a perspective few ever get to see. Events like these don’t happen because of one person or one organization. They happen because neighbors invest in neighbors. Because volunteers give their time. Because families carry on traditions. Because people care.
To the Warner family, the Jones Kiwanis Club, Lieutenant Weiss, and everyone who played a role in making this year’s celebration possible: thank you. You helped create memories that children will talk about for years, gave families an evening together under the stars, and reminded all of us why we love calling Jones home.
