During this year’s planning and budget process, Trustee Dana Holland made establishing dedicated code enforcement a priority for our community, and we are happy to report that as of September 7, 2026, the Town of Jones officially has a Code Enforcement Officer!
Please help us welcome Marshal Miller to the Town of Jones team! 👋
We know code enforcement can sometimes be a touchy subject, but the goal here isn’t to drive around looking for reasons to write citations. It’s about addressing legitimate concerns, working with property owners, improving our neighborhoods, and making sure the codes already adopted by the Town are being applied fairly and consistently.
And we’re making it easier for you to communicate with us, too!
We have opened a new Code Enforcement section on the Town website, where residents can submit complaints or concerns online—even after Town Hall is closed. See something that needs our attention? You no longer have to remember to call us the next morning. Send it our way, and we can get it to the right person.
We also know this may open up a broader community conversation about Jones’ ordinances: What do our current codes say? What needs to be enforced? What may be outdated? What could be clearer?
That’s not necessarily a bad conversation to have.
The Town is already working toward bringing our ordinances up to date through the codification process, and we’re excited about what all of these pieces can mean for Jones moving forward.
This isn’t about changing Jones into something it isn’t. It’s about taking care of the community we already love, addressing problems before they become bigger ones, and continuing to make our little corner of Oklahoma a place we’re proud to call home. ❤️
Have an area of concern? Visit our new Code Enforcement page and let us know!
Welcome aboard, Marshal! We’re glad to have you! 🐂💚
