Code Enforcement & Animal Control
Growing With Our Community
As Jones City continues to grow, so does our commitment to keeping our community safe, welcoming, and a great place to call home.
Originally handled on a part-time basis, Code Enforcement began a new chapter in July 2026 when Trustee Dana Holland committed her term to strengthening the Town’s code enforcement efforts and establishing a dedicated division capable of meeting the needs of our growing population.
Following the appointment of Chief Sonny Nohmer in August 2026 and the continued development of the program, the Jones City Code Enforcement & Animal Control Division welcomed its first dedicated employee in September 2026—an exciting milestone for the Town and our residents.
The division works with residents to address property maintenance, nuisance and code concerns, animal control issues, and other matters that affect the health, safety, and quality of life of our community. While enforcement is an important responsibility, our goal is always to encourage cooperation, education, and voluntary compliance whenever possible.
This is a new chapter for Jones City, and we are excited to see this division continue to grow alongside the community it serves.
Need to report a concern? Residents may use the “File A Complaint” link on this page to submit a potential code violation or animal control concern directly to the Town for review.
