On February 4, 2025, the Board of Trustees passed Resolution No. 02-25-2025-C, which authorizes the Jones Public Works Authority to adjust utility rates annually by an amount equal to the Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the South-Central Region or 2.5%, whichever is lower.
For this year, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has reported a CPI increase of 2.2% for our region. As a result, you will see a 2.2% increase across all billable utility services beginning with your next billing cycle.
We understand that even small increases can impact household budgets—especially following the holiday season. To help ease this transition, the Authority has elected to waive all late fees, and suspend service shut offs for the bill covering the billing period of November 20, 2025, through December 22, 2025.
Our customers are the heart of this community, and it is important to us that you are given clear notice and consideration when adjustments like this occur. We sincerely appreciate your continued support and trust in the Jones Public Works Authority.
