Jones, Oklahoma — The Town of Jones is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel McClure as Interim Town Attorney, effective immediately.
Mr. McClure brings extensive experience in municipal and local government law, with a professional focus dedicated to representing cities, towns, and public entities throughout Oklahoma. He is the founder of Local Government Law PLLC, a firm established specifically to serve the legal needs of municipalities and local governmental bodies.
Throughout his career, Mr. McClure has advised governing boards, municipal staff, and public officials on a wide range of issues including municipal governance, statutory compliance, public meetings and records, ordinance drafting, contracts, and risk management. His practice emphasizes proactive legal guidance, helping municipalities navigate complex issues while maintaining transparency, accountability, and compliance with state law.
In addition to his legal practice, Mr. McClure brings valuable perspective through his prior service in local government roles, providing him with a practical understanding of the challenges faced by elected officials and municipal staff. This experience allows him to approach legal counsel not only from a statutory standpoint, but also with an appreciation for the operational and policy considerations involved in municipal decision-making.
As Interim Town Attorney, Mr. McClure will provide legal counsel and support to the Mayor, Board of Trustees, and Town staff during this transitional period. His appointment reflects the Town’s commitment to ensuring continuity of legal services, sound governance, and responsible management of municipal affairs.
