Jones, Oklahoma —The Town of Jones City is pleased to announce the appointment of Robert Triplett to Seat 5 of the Jones City Board of Trustees.
Triplett was appointed to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of former Trustee Duane Coy. His appointment reflects the Board’s continued commitment to public service, responsible local government, and thoughtful representation for the residents of Jones City.
A Jones native with deep family roots in the community, Triplett returned to Jones with his family in 2007. He has expressed a strong belief in responsible growth while preserving the rural, country lifestyle that remains important to many Jones residents.
Triplett brings a background of service, leadership, and civic involvement to the Board. He achieved the rank of Eagle Scout at age 13, later served in leadership roles through scouting, Junior Achievement, and JROTC, and went on to serve in the United States Army. His military experience included work connected to the Base Realignment and Closure program, where he assisted with legal and administrative documentation involving multiple military installations.
More recently, Triplett has served the Town as Chair of the Board of Adjustments, where he worked with Town staff and legal counsel to review applicable laws, rules, and procedures during the appeal process. That service gave him firsthand experience with the responsibility of municipal decision-making and the importance of following proper legal procedures while serving the community.
The Town extends its appreciation to all residents who expressed interest in serving on the Board of Trustees. Civic participation is an important part of local government, and the Town is grateful for those willing to give their time and effort in service to the community.
Triplett will serve in Seat 5 until April 2027.
